Free Webinars

Fertility Matters at Work is a Community Interest Company (CIC) and social enterprise. That means our work is driven by social impact, not profit, and everything we do feeds back into our wider mission: building fertility friendly workplaces across the UK. Our free fertility webinars sit right at the heart of that mission. They exist so that practical, expert led guidance on fertility in the workplace is available to everyone, not just those who can access a paid membership.

We know people come to these webinars for different reasons. Some are trying to build a business case for fertility support and need the evidence and language to bring to their HR team or leadership. Others work in SMEs, where there may be no dedicated HR function at all, and simply want a clearer understanding of what fertility challenges mean for their people and their organisation. Whatever has brought you here, our free webinars are designed to give you something genuinely useful to take away, grounded in lived experience and expert insight rather than generic advice.

3 Simple Steps to Building Fertility-Friendly Workplaces

Introducing our free webinar series

These conversations are for you if you care about your people and want to ensure they can access the support they need through significant live events such as family building challenges.

We’re launching a series of practical webinars for organisations who want to support their employees through fertility challenges but aren’t sure where to start.

Each session tackles a critical aspect of creating genuinely fertility-friendly workplaces, breaking down what can feel overwhelming into three actionable steps you can implement straightaway.

Why we’re running this series

One in six people experience fertility challenges, yet most managers receive zero training on how to support employees dealing with reproductive health issues, navigating fertility treatment, coping with loss, or understanding alternative pathways to parenthood. Well-meaning leaders stay silent for fear of saying the wrong thing and employees suffer in silence, call in sick or even leave their job.

These webinars give you the practical tools and confidence to change that.

What to expect

Each session runs for 60 minutes and combines research with real voices and straightforward guidance. From supporting someone through IVF, helping someone come to terms with pregnancy or baby loss, or navigating complex conversations in terms of having to stop treatment, you’ll leave with more of understanding of what to do next.

All webinars are free, and we’ll be adding more to the series over the coming months.

Because every organisation should know how to support their team through one of life’s most challenging experiences.

We’ve also brought the complete Three Simple Steps collection together in one place.

The Fertility Pledge: What it asks of you and why it matters

One in six people of working age will experience fertility challenges. Most are managing it in silence, and most employers have no idea it’s happening in their own teams.

At the start of this year, Alice Macdonald MP launched the Fertility Support Pledge, calling on employers to commit to four practical steps: time off for fertility appointments, a clear workplace policy, a Fertility Ambassador or Champion, and manager training.

It followed her Ten Minute Rule Bill in Parliament and builds on the campaigning work of former MP Nickie Aiken.

Employers including Aviva, E.ON, Centrica and Cadent Gas already offer this kind of support to their staff, and organisations such as HSBC and the CIPD are backing the campaign.

In this webinar:

Fertility Matters at Work will share the research behind the campaign, including the real cost to UK business of getting this wrong, and what good support actually looks like in practice.

Fertility Action will join to explain the support and signposting available to anyone affected, whether or not they’ve told their employer.

You’ll also hear from an organisation who have already signed the pledge, on what it’s meant for their business and their people.

Matt Turmaine MP will also be joining to talk about why he believes businesses need to step up, and what he hopes the pledge will achieve.
